FAQ's

wedding photographs exeter, filmstrip wedding photographs

Ok, who will be taking the photos?

Your wedding will be photographed by Kevin & Caroline who are both experienced photographers.  When you meet us for the first time, you will quickly realise that the passion we both have for what we do is infectious.  Our personalities quickly put you at ease and people often comment on how relaxed we have made them feel.

I hate having my photograph taken, Help!

Without doubt, almost every bride says this exact same thing to us!  Your wedding day is a happy day and you will be far more relaxed than you think (especially after the ceremony).  We often shoot on long lenses so you may not even realise your photo has been taken and we have a few tricks up our sleeve to help you feel more at ease.

Are you insured?

Absolutely!  We have both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance with Policy Bee.

Can I see a complete wedding album?

Of course.  We have examples of the various style of albums we are able to supply you, some are a mixture of various weddings and others have complete weddings designated to them.

Who has copyright over the photos?

As with most photographers, KCB Images will continue to hold the copyright of your photographs.  However, you will hold the print rights allowing you to make copies, enlargements, share on Facebook, email to friends etc.  As copyright holder, KCB Images would be free to use your photographs for promotional work, on our website for instance.  This allows future potential clients to continue to be able to see examples of our latest work. Occasionally, a client will request that we do not use any of their images in this way.  We will of course respect any clients wishes.

Do I receive copies of the images on disk or just the those in my album?

Yes, all of them whether they are in your album if you have one or not.  What we do ask is that you do not choose to pay 4 pence per image for reprints from the cheapest online photo printers you can find as the chances are you will not be impressed with the quality due to the weight of the paper they are printed on and  also the quality of the printing process itself.  We can advise you on this and point you in the right direction.

Do I receive a contract?

Yes.  A contract protects both yourselves and us.  There's nothing complicated in it, but whichever photographer you choose, they should certainly have a contract in place signed by both parties.

How long have we got you for on the day?

Unless you have paid just for ceremony coverage, you will have us for as long as you want.  We are often with you early if the bride is having bridal preparation photos and we can be still with you late into the evening especially if you are having fireworks or lanterns.

Do you design our album?

Yes but with as much or as little involvement from yourselves as you want.  Generally, we will put an album design together for you.  You will be then be able to view an example of how your album will look via a PDF document and discuss any changes you would like making accordingly.  Usually it just simple things like changing a photo from black & white to colour.  This process of making sure you album is 100% right may take just one email.  Other bride and grooms have taken 6 months to decide which photos they would like in an album. It doesn't matter how long it takes, just that you are happy with the results.

How long will it take to receive our wedding album?

We endeavour to have all of your wedding photos in an online gallery on our website within 30 days of your wedding.  Once the album design is completed, we anticipate a maximum of six weeks before you take delivery of your beautiful album.  All our albums are printed and hand-built in the UK, so often delivery time is much quicker than this.

Do you offer anything else other than albums?

Oh yes, we have lots of great example of ways of displaying your photos.  Most of our bride and grooms think they will want a canvass to display an image from their amazing day.  We have spent many hours at trade shows finding products that will just amaze you!  We can bring examples of some of our products to our initial meeting for you to see first hand.  Alternatively, we can send you a catalogue or you can see us at one of the Wedding Fairs we attend.

We don't want formal group shots, is this ok?

Not a problem.  In fact having too many group shots is something we try to steer you away from.  Group shots if you have lots of them can be very time consuming.  Any group shots you definitely do want, we will ask you for beforehand.  Remember, we are with you for many hours, so we will capture lots of shots of you and your guests throughout the day anyway.
